FLOOR COVERING NEWS AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE Readers of FCNews nominated companies in each category and the top five vote-getters were then placed on the final ballot. At Surfaces, attendees voted for their favorite manufacturer in each category (manufacturers were not eligible). The awards are sponsored by Floor Covering News, Hanley-Wood Exhibitions and the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA).

NATIONAL FLOOR TRENDS SUPPLIER SERVICE AWARDS More than 60,000 ballots were distributed in the publicationís January and February issues as well as via the NFT web site. Voting closed on February 20, with ballots submitted by fax, mail, electronically, and delivered to ballot boxes throughout the Surfaces 2003 convention in Las Vegas. All segments of the industry were eligible to vote for the 10 best service categories (by product segment) and the overall best product category.

TELLY AWARDS The Telly Awards showcase and give recognition to outstanding non-network and cable TV commercials as well as video and film productions. In excess of 10,000 entries are received each year. Entries compete against a high standard of excellence and are judged on a 10 point scale; an entry must score a minimum of 9.0 to be awarded a Telly. Previous winners include National Geographic, NASA, Ronald McDonald House, and Verizon. Mannington received a Telly for the following: - "Red Beads" TV Spot (promoting flooring with Teflon Surface Protector) - Porcelain Tile Display video (training video on how to set-up the display)
AXIEM AWARDS (Absolute Excellence in Electronic Media) AXIEM Award entries are judged on creativity, technical merit, and overall experience of the piece. Over 1400 entries were received in 2003. Previous winners include entries from such renowned companies as DreamWorks, IBM, Mercedes Benz, Warner Brothers and Disney. Mannington received AXIEM Awards for the following: - "MC2 - Mannington Customer Connect" (marketing video) - "Red Beads" TV Spot (promoting flooring with Teflon Surface Protector) - "Food and Wine" TV Spot (promoting flooring with Teflon Surface Protector) - "Quick Tips - Glueless Laminate Installation" (training video)
OMA (outstanding Merchandising Achievement) Home and Garden Category Silver - Mannington Ceramic Display
eMarketing Association Platinum Award for Site of the Year Awarded to mannington.com, this is the highest award available and only one site is selected for it annually. Entrants were judged on site design, navigation, content and relevance.
WebAward Outstanding Web Site Mannington.com was judged on its design, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, ease of use and use of technology. The competition was judged by a team of independent Internet professionals representing a variety of relevant disciplines of Web site development. |
