Over the past few years, we’ve been implementing a “Safety First” program that’s designed to promote a culture of safety and productivity across the entire company.

Mannington Chairman of the Board Keith Campbell hosts bi-monthly “Safety First” videos on pertinent topics like avoiding spider bites, working with tools, ladder safety and common sense cell phone use.  “Many tips in our safety videos are useful not only at work but at home, too,” says Campbell, who is joined by Mannington safety experts in each video. “We want our associates and their families to keep safety in mind whatever they do.”

“Each site has also been tasked with developing additional program elements,“ adds Victor Giudice, Mannington Director of Safety, Health and Environment. “For instance, our sites in GA publish periodic safety newsletters that contain program information, safety tips and additional recommendations that are applicable to associates and their families.”

Periodic safety summit meetings are also held, bringing site and corporate leaders together to review safety initiatives and discuss ways to continue improving our safety performance.

“Safety First.” This is a Mannington mantra and something we put into action every day.
