MANNINGTON DEBUTS HARDWOOD FLOORS THAT SAY "WELCOME HOME"

SALEM, NJ, January 30, 2018—In today’s fast-paced world, homeowners are in increasing need for somewhere to retreat and catch their breath. Mannington’s new hardwood floors help do just that, providing a foundation for rest and rejuvenation.

“Our new hardwood designs draw inspiration from simpler, more leisurely times,” says Joe Amato, Mannington’s Vice President of Residential Styling. “With subdued, clean lines and warm colors, these floors relax the eye and create the foundation for interiors where solace -and style- can be found at the end of each day.”

“These floors also have performance characteristics only found in Mannington hardwood.  Patented ScratchResist™ surface technology helps keep the floor looking new longer by preventing everyday scratches from dulling the floor,” says Dan Natkin, Vice President of Hardwood and Laminate at Mannington. “And these are engineered hardwoods, which can be installed below, on, and above grade. They’re overall more dimensionally stable than a solid wood plank.”

This Spring, five new hardwood designs will debut at Mannington retailers:

Carriage Oak
Carriage Oak captures the essence of worn painted wood from vintage carriage houses but in an updated, contemporary color palette. Wire brushed and beautifully stained with a technique that creates a distinctive painted, weathered effect. Made in the USA and featured in both a plank and herringbone format. Available in three modern hues: Forged Iron, Haystack and Stable.

Latitude Collection
Also Made in the USA, the Latitude Collection features two designs – Foundry Hickory and Tribeca Oak – in 7 1/2-inch wide planks with extra-long lengths (up to 7 1/2 feet).

• Foundry Hickory
An updated traditional look, Foundry Hickory has subtle wire brushing enhanced by a triple-stained effect that brings out the wood’s rich, deep color. Available in four hues:  Antiqued Bronze, Burnt Umber, Fumed Gray and Weathered Natural.

• Tribeca Oak
An upscale revision of a classic, Tribeca Oak offers a refined urban look with subtle wire brushing and multiple stain layers. Available in three modern hues:  Brushed Steel, City Lights and Loft.

Cider Mill Collection
The Cider Mill Collection – Cider Mill Hickory and Cider Mill Oak -- features variable width planks (3 1/4-inch, 5-inch, and 6 1/2-inch) and lengths up to 6 feet long. Each is individually hand distressed and stained multiple times to create one-of-a-kind looks.

• Cider Mill Hickory
Cider Mill Hickory combines the charm and nostalgia found in a vintage cider mill. A unique hand staining technique showcases the natural color variation, ranging from light to dark, on each plank.  Available in four hues:  Barrel, Orchard, Pulp and Vine.

• Cider Mill Oak
Through a dramatic white oak species, Cider Mill Oak captures the spirit and distinctiveness of wood found in an old mill. Subtle but distinctive hand-applied staining and wire brushing showcase the natural grain of the wood. Available in three modern hues:  Char, Pomace and Steel.

About Mannington Hardwood Flooring

Mannington engineered hardwoods offer distinct advantages over other types of wood flooring.  Engineered planks are more dimensionally stable than a single piece of solid wood (they won’t buckle, gap, cup or twist) and can be installed below grade and direct to concrete where solid wood floors cannot. They’re manufactured with Mannington’s patented ScratchResist™ surface protection that helps keep floors looking newer longer by creating a surface so tough it wears away the ridges on a quarter.

These floors are also crafted in eco-responsible ways, using half as many trees as solid wood floors and faster-growing, renewable wood for inner piles.  Mannington uses only water-based finishes that contain no VOC’s and a formaldehyde-free adhesive system that meets or beats the most stringent indoor air quality standards. Most Mannington hardwood floors are FloorScore® certified. All meet, or exceed, the formaldehyde levels set forth in CARB phase I and II—the most stringent emissions laws in the world. Mannington factories are also FSC® Chain of Custody certified and NWFA-RPP verified.
