4 Ways to Use Mannington’s Color of the Year in Your Home

by //

Mannington has named Smoked Blush as the Color of the Year for 2019. This color is a beautiful, delicate shade of taupe with beigey-gray undertones. Because of it’s neutral base, this color works wonderfully in a variety of applications around the home. Take inspiration from these photos and discover how you can use Mannington’s 2019 Color of the Year in your home design.

1. Use pops of it in décor.

Throughout the year you’ll see this trendy color in décor and accent pieces. Use it as pops of color through art prints, pillows, bedding, lamps, planters and more.

Our recommendation: try pairing Smoked Blush décor pops with a neutral floor like our Norwegian Oak Hardwood (Color: Glacier), pictured above.

2. Create a statement.

Whether it’s an accent chair or an entire wall of kitchen cabinets, Smoked Blush furnishings will create visual interest in any room in your home.

Our recommendation: compliment a Smoked Blush statement piece with a rustic wood visual that picks up on the neutral undertones. Floor pictured above is Station Pine, a new laminate floor in our Restoration Collection® (available in stores in early spring).

3. Make it the focal point.

Smoked Blush will work wonders on the walls of your home. This hue evokes a sense of modern elegance in any space and goes well with a variety of color palettes and design styles.

Our recommendation: try an accent wall with a bold encaustic tile look like our new ADURA®MaxAPEX vinyl plank floor, Trellis, pictured above (available in stores in April).

4. Go bold and create an entire color scheme.

Monochromatic color schemes are all the rage in home design. Create a uniform look with various shades of Smoked Blush in your furnishings, wall color, and accessories.

Our recommendation: pair a Smoked Blush color scheme with a luxe marble look. Floor pictured is our ADURA®Max vinyl plank, Legacy (Color: White with Gray), pictured above.
