ISO 14001 and 9001
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) provides globally recognized standards. ISO 9001 helps manufacturers deliver quality products while ISO 14001 helps businesses meet increasing environmental and regulatory demands.
Mannington’s Quality Management System (QMS) were originally third-party certified to ISO 9001 in:
2004 - Inlaid Sheet (NJ)
2012 - LVT (GA)
The Environmental Management Systems (EMS) were originally third-party certified to ISO 14001 in:
2004 - Commercial Inlaid sheet (NJ)
2005 - Carpet operation (GA)
2009 - Commercial and Residential Cushion (NJ)
2012 - LVT (GA)
2020 - Rubber (GA)
Each facility has successfully completed all annual recertification and surveillance audits. The result is a highly organized and structured approach that ensures efficient, effective management and continual improvement of our environmental and quality systems.
As required by ISO standards, our third-party registrar annually conducts a rigorous system verification audit. Each of our certified locations completed their audits in 2025.
Examples of the most recent findings from the third-party registrar, NSF, in 2025 are:
Carpet/Rubber (GA) – Zero Deficiencies for ISO 14001
Homogenous Sheet (NJ) – Zero deficiencies for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
Cushion Sheet (NJ) – Zero Deficiencies for ISO 14001
LVT (GA) – Zero Deficiencies for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
In our ISO 14001 EMS, we evaluate the significant environmental aspects and impacts of our activities, products, and services at least annually and establish specific objectives and targets for continual improvement.
Examples of our 2025 accomplishments are listed below:
Carpet/Rubber (GA):
Improved product transparency for our customers
Improved boiler efficiency
LVT Operations (GA):
Improved product transparency for our customers
Increased recycling from corporate sources and internal reuse of materials
Residential and Commercial Sheet (NJ):
Improved product transparency for our customers
Continued operational waste reductions
For 2026, each operation will be focused on the following:
Carpet/Rubber (GA):
Assessing climate change related risks to facilities and operations
Reducing waste to landfill and investigating recycling options
Monitoring dust control measures
Reduction in packaging between processes
LVT Operations (GA):
Assessing climate change related risks to facilities and operations
Implementing energy audit recommendations
Reducing waste to landfill and investigating recycling options
Maintain internal recycling program
Residential and Commercial Sheet (NJ):
Assessing climate change related risks to facilities and operations
Continuing operational waste reductions
Reduction of waste to landfill
